Brief Workshop Proposal Form

We welcome your proposal for a workshop to be presented at Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living. Please complete this form to help us evaluate how your workshop would be a good fit for our spiritual community. Most workshops run about 2-4 hours and can have 10-45 attend. Your workshop should come out of inspiration or out of a lesson or concept that you would like to get across. In general we make an effort to have a variety of choices of topics throughout the year, and we are interested in different workshops each year.

Facilitator Agreement

Please read through the following agreements carefully.

 1.     WORKSHOP MARKETING: Upon approval of your workshop, the RGCSL marketing team agrees to use your workshop description provided on the workshop proposal to promote the workshop in the RGCSL weekly newsletter, Sunday bulletin and RGCSL website in advance of the workshop date.

3.    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  You agree to make payment arrangements and/or provide volunteer opportunities or lower the cost for those experiencing temporary financial hardship.

4.    BOOK/CD/PRODUCT SALE APPROVAL:  You agree to obtain prior approval from the RGCSL Spiritual Growth Team before selling any products in connection with the workshop.  We would appreciate a donation/tithe back to RGCSL on any profits made on product sales.

5.     PROTECTION OF NON-PROFIT STATUS:  You agree to not promote or endorse any business. This could compromise Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living's non-profit status.

6.     WORKSHOP SUPPLIES/MATERIALS:  You agree to provide all special supplies/materials for the workshop. (E.g. refreshments, copies, special materials or supplies.) RGCSL will provide nametags, pens, and  markers.

7.     MOUNTING ITEMS ON THE WALLS:  You agree to use only painter's tape for mounting anything on the walls inside the building. Other types of tape can damage the walls.

8.    SET UP/TAKE DOWN:  You agree to be responsible for the set up and take-down of tables, chairs and other equipment for your workshop.  If additional help is needed, this is a great opportunity to invite someone into service in exchange for a discounted workshop fee.

9.  CLEAN UP AFTER WORKSHOP: You agree to clean all surfaces of any food or liquid spills. Equipment, chairs, or tables that were moved should be returned to their previous location. The refreshment area should be clean with coffee pots washed, coffee grounds disposed of and cups or dishes put in the dishwasher.

10.  PAYMENT TO PRESENTER:  Funds are not available for payment of travel or gratuity. However RGCSL agrees to pay the New Thought Minister/Practitioner 70% of revenue and all others 60% of revenue, after approved expenses. You agree that RGCSL will not incur a net loss associated with the workshop.

11.  FUNDS RECEIVED: You agree to not remove funds from the Center.

The RGCSL Spiritual Opportunities team is grateful for your interest in providing a workshop and we are excited to work with you.  Our team will meet to approve proposals, work with you on your needs for the workshop, set financial arrangements and summarize agreements. We will then reserve the date(s) on our calendar and work with you to support the event.  Please allow three to four weeks for our process.
