Oakland CSL: Planning for an Elegant Exit Registration
1/20 - 2/10/26 6-8 PM PT |
Planning for an Elegant Exit Class is an advance care planning class that goes beyond medical wishes and, in addition, addresses personal, emotional and spiritual needs. It allows individuals to express their preferences for care and designate a person to make health care decisions on their behalf if they are unable to do so. The class is designed to help people prepare for the possibility of illness and incapacity.
This is a series of weekly Zoom classes lasting 4 weeks starting Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and ending February 10th at 6 PM - 8 PM PT (7-9 PM MT, 8-10 PM CT, & 9-11 PM ET). NOTE: Registration closes January 18, 2026. Prior to the first class you will receive via email a Zoom link and a sample copy of the Five Wishes advance planning document to work on during each class.
Your guide on this journey is Practitioner Marylyn Kirk, RN, who is an accomplished facilitator and a trained Faith Community health educator who has practiced in New Mexico, Nevada, and California.
